CHC’s federal navigator funding in the Tribune-Review

From the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

There will be more than double the number of navigators in Allegheny County this year than there were last year, said Antoinette Kraus, interim executive director of the Consumer Health Coalition, which received $505,000.

The North Side-based coalition, which did not receive money last year, said it will hire 14 full-time navigators and train dozens of volunteer counselors in Western and Central Pennsylvania. Seven navigators will work in Allegheny County, Kraus said, compared with three last year.

“This funding will enable us to extend our reach into areas that have not gotten the attention and service they deserve,” said Kraus.
