Komen Pittsburgh to spread awareness about the importance of breast health and the services that are available to improve access to breast health.Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh is a nonprofit breast cancer awareness organization with a mission to save lives and end breast cancer by empowering people, ensuring quality care, and funding national research.
The voucher program improves health access.
Susan G. Koman Pittsburgh provides a Mammogram Voucher Program of no-cost mammograms and follow-up diagnostic services for men and women who are uninsured or who are unable to meet their co-pays or deductibles. They must also reside in Central or Western Pennsylvania.Receiving regular preventative care is key to early detection of cancer. This program goes beyond mammograms to additionally cover needed follow-up services such as breast sonograms, biopsies, or surgical consultation.
CHC is offering breast health education.
Consumer Health Coalition can provide presentations on breast health and healthcare enrollment. Our breast education services are being funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Healthy Woman Program.
