On Tuesday, August 30, we teamed up with other advocacy groups including Public Citizen, the Thomas Merton Center, and the Western PA Coalition for Single-Payer Healthcare to deliver 700,000 signatures on a petition against the large increase in EpiPen prices to the headquarters of Mylan, the company that sells the medication, in Canonsburg, PA.
Mylan’s unethical and unnecessary price increases make the lifesaving medication less accessible to people who direly need it.
- In 2007, the wholesale price on an EpiPen in the U.S. was $57.
- Today, just nine years later, it’s over $300.
- Even though each EpiPen contains only a few dollars’ worth of medicine.
