The Consumer Health Coalition is holding free information sessions about Breast and Cervical Health across Allegheny County through a partnership with Komen Pittsburgh and the PA Department of Health. The sessions are designed to engage and inform individuals about breast and cervical health, preventative steps for better health, risk signs awareness, and free screening and testing programs. In addition, assistance will be available for individuals that need help getting connected to screenings or paying for screenings or testing.
The sessions are intended to educate individuals about breast and cervical cancer and increase awareness of two free programs available for uninsured or underinsured PA women to access breast and cervical services, the HealthyWoman Program and the Komen Mammogram Voucher Program. HealthyWoman Program will cover at no cost breast and cervical cancer screening procedures including mammograms and pap smears for eligible women. The Komen Mammogram Voucher Program covers mammogram services at no cost for eligible women.
