Faith Communities Action and Advocacy
In the ongoing effort for Health Care Reform, we seek to work with and provide resources for the faith community. Our shared belief is that any and all conversation around health care reform must initiate from the understanding of: “Let us begin from the moral imperative that every one should be covered.”
Our work is interfaith in scope and we welcome opportunities for shared dialogue and shared efforts.
Our Faith-Inspired Vision of Health Care envisions a health care system that is:
- Inclusive: Health care is a shared responsibility that is grounded in our common humanity.
- Affordable: Health care must contribute to the common good by being affordable for individuals, families and society as a whole.
- Accessible: All persons should have access to health services that provide necessary care and contribute to wellness.
- Accountable: Our health care system must be accountable, offering a quality, equitable and sustainable means of keeping us healthy as individuals and as a community.
